Between filming, taking three hundred photos of one at-bat, and having the schedule app open all day, my phone is dead by the third inning. How to Build Your Own Sports Mom Bag
If you are starting from nothing, do not buy this whole list. Buy in this order.
Start with somewhere to sit
A stadium seat with back support changes a long day more than anything else on this page. Look for one wide enough for real bleacher boards, a strap so your hands are free, and pockets. If you travel to away games a lot, get the packable cushion too.
Then solve heat and cold, in that order
Whatever season you are in right now is the one to buy for. A fan and sunscreen for spring and late summer, hand warmers and a heated seat for November. Buying the opposite season in advance always sounds smart and never actually happens.
Buy the boring things in multiples
Stain wipes, sunscreen, hand warmers, and phone chargers should exist in more than one place: the bag, the car, and the house. The reason you forget them is that you only own one.
